Warbuton holds nerve to land thrilling Week 5 Modus final

MIKE WARBURTON saw off nine-dart king Conor Heneghan 4-3 in a thrilling Week 5 final of the Modus Super Series.
Incredibly, only a missed double 12 prevented Heneghan, who had landed a nine-darter on Thursday, from repeating the feat in the fifth leg but Warburton's nerve held and he took the final two legs to claim the £5,000 prize.
Earlier, Warburton enjoyed 4-1 and 4-2 min-group victories over Sebastian Bialecki and Heneghan respectively, before a 4-0 whitewash of Alan Norris in the semis.
