Snooker Legends 900 returns on Monday

SPORTYSTUFF TV is delighted to announce the return of the hugely popular and entertaining Snooker Legends 900 to the channel from Monday 18th September.
Resuming the 10pm slot every Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday night, the fast-paced and exciting snooker event is a welcome return to the channel schedule over the next nine weeks.
All the action will be free-to-view and available to watch across a number of platforms - Sky channel 427, FreeSat 250, Freeview 271, live streaming at www.sportystuff.tv and on SportyStuffTV's YouTube channel.
The most lucrative amateur snooker competition in the world will feature a host of well-known names including champions of the past such as former world champions Dennis Taylor and Joe Johnson as well as ex-professionals including Michael Holt, Nigel Bond and Tony Drago.
Players from all over the globe will descend upon The Crucible Sports & Social Club in Reading and battle it out in 15-minute matches (900 seconds) with a 20-second shot clock in operation.
15 different countries will be represented and competitors from all different spheres qualified and have been invited to take part, including players from the World Disability Billiards and Snooker, former Women's World Champion On Yee and five-time Mosconi Cup winner Jayson Shaw.
Presenter Rachel Casey will be steering viewers through the action, alongside the punditry team of former world number three Neal Foulds, 12-time Women's World Champion Reanne Evans and Lee "The Shirt" Richardson.
The 900 is the brainchild of Jason Francis, the man behind Seniors Snooker and the manager of Ronnie O'Sullivan and Reanne Evans. Also the organiser and host, Francis is looking forward to the return of the popular event:
"I am so thrilled to be bringing the 900 back for Season 2, in all my years in the sport I've not seen this much buzz around the return of an amateur snooker event. With players from 15 countries taking part - we really are going global!"
1985 Snooker World Champion and BBC pundit/commentator Dennis Taylor, who competed in Season 1 last year, will join the action in Week 3 on Monday 2nd October and is a huge fan of the format:
"I keep trying to put my cue away but Jason [Francis] keeps coming up with these new shows and last year I showed that even at my age I can still win a game of 900. The event has been a breath of fresh air for the legends and the amateurs!"
SportyStuffTV’s Chairman and CEO, Kevan Moretti added:
“We are excited and very much looking forward to bringing viewers the second year of The 900 on SportyStuffTV. The new venue looks stunning! Best of luck to all of the competitors!"
