RPGTV Notebook - October 18

Highlighting the greyhounds who have caught the eye of RPGTV analysts over the past seven days.
⭐
Ballymac Honest (Monmore A1)
Craig Marston's bitch was blown away by the early speed of winner Roanna Scooby and was always chasing in vain afterwards. However, she kept battling away to only be beaten a couple of lengths and might be easier in next time.

⭐
Boomerang Flash (Central Park A6)
Slowly away on debut, Tony Collett's April 2021 youngster showed good pace to the bend and excellent trackcraft to rail allowing him to lead off the second. He powered down the back straight but a strong runner picked him up late on.

Fabulous Ritzy (Romford A3)
David Mullins' bitch was beaten for the fifth time since returning from seasonal rest but that sequence is unlikely to go on much longer. She flew on the inside along the back only to be stopped in her tracks at the third before rallying.

⭐
Farran Kappa (Towcester D2)
Dave Jeans' bitch was sent off favourite to double her career tally and, after a moderate start, paced up well to lead at the first bend. However, strong-running Wintetavern Curly went round behind and ultimately outstayed her. A very encouraging effort.

⭐
Flowerpot Tiger (Harlow A7)
Debbie Hurlock's dog was making his four-bend debut and was slowly away but paced up to get in contention. May have momentarily checked along the back but kept momentum until running into crowding off the last. Will be better for the run.

Mickos Outkast (Crayford A7)
Three victories in five saw Jim Reynolds' pup reach the grade and he certainly looked up to it despite starting 7-1. He missed his break and was outpaced but eventually pulled back the leader to three-parts. Will relish 540m in time.

⭐
My Jersey Boy (Oxford A2)
Opened his Oxford account one rung down than his latest appearance having been knocking on the door in his last couple at the level. Richard Baker's dog was way behind the well-supported winner at halfway but made up ground hand over fist.

Plaza Trouble (Henlow A8)
Andy Ioannou's bitch was downgraded after being a good runner-up in stronger company and showed the best pace to get round in front. Although pressured, she was still ahead until the very last stride when collared by a progressive sort.

⭐
Rolo Moon (Doncaster B5)
Kelly Tobin's youngster's forte is early pace even if 450m is far enough for her at the moment. Could not cope with the power of the winner on her latest appearance but could take some pegging back if leading a similar contest.

Trigger Point (Hove A3)
Seamus Cahill's youngster made a moderate start but recovered to be third at the bend where he was crowded wide. Travelled like the winner along the back straight only to again find himself in the wrong place at the third bend before rallying. Can win similar.
