RPGTV Notebook - October 11

Highlighting the greyhounds who have caught the eye of RPGTV analysts over the past seven days.

Barneys Moy (Harlow A7)
Debbie Hurlock's bitch fluffed the start on her British debut then showed good pace to the bend before missing the corner. The eventual winner and runner-up had gone but she was game in third and the experience will have done her the world of good.
Circle Of Life (Henlow A9)
Pam Dolby's pup bitch ran an incredible race in defeat on her third start. Again hopeless at traps, reported to have turned in the boxes, she was way behind but ran on powerfully to finish fourth behind a good winner. If she just sharpens up a little, it could be a demolition job.
King Stevens (Central Park D2)
Slowly away on debut, Tony Collett's young pup showed decent speed to the bend and went round in second after missing some trouble. Made no real impression on a comfortable winner but should come on a bundle for the outing and can go one better soon.
Pennys Vista (Hove A5)
Won all his qualifying trials with the minimum of fuss but still learning the ropes under race conditions. Patrick Browne's youngster was tapped for a yard of early but the raw speed is there and he stayed on past beaten rivals to finish second to a progressive sort.
Right Boss (Crayford OR)
Tom Levers’ dog was making his Crayford debut after a Swindon open win followed by defeat at Monmore. Stepped up to 540m, he was unable to clear the bend but chased hard and was going on at the finish. Will find a less speedy race soon.
Rocky Haze (Doncaster D4)
Gary Vincent's dog is yet to win in five starts but that could end soon judged by the way he sped into the first turn only to find trouble. He rallied to be beaten less than three lengths into second and is one to note for a similar contest as the ability is there.
Savana Charm (Towcester OR)
Jason Bloomfield's bitch has been in decent form of late with four seconds and a first place in her last five outings. Finishing runner-up in a maiden open, she was taken wide at the opening turn but made up impressive ground to be beaten less than a length.
Taylors Gord (Oxford A2)
Richard Baker’s pup finished second in his first graded appearance at the track having previously filled the same position in an open. He paced up well to lead round the bend but the eventual winner was always in a handy position and he went down narrowly.
Urry Up Buddy (Romford A3)
Gemma Evans’ dog was shuffled back from a promising pitch at the first bend and left with a mountain to climb but showed excellent back straight pace to get back in the mix. Not done with, he only went down in a three-way photo.
Vixons Charm (Monmore A5)
Brian Thompson's dog again caught the eye in defeat in a handful of starts and will surely soon open his account. Turning nearer last than first, he built up a head of steam going into the third bend but was crowded out before staying on well again.
