RPGTV Notebook - November 8

Highlighting the greyhounds who have caught the eye of RPGTV analysts over the past seven days.
⭐
Alberta Minnie (Harlow D4)
Having switched from Central Park, she has now been second in all three races at her new base but again ran well. Debbie Hurlock's bitch went off the 7-4 favourite but had to give best to a debutant and time may show she faced a very stiff task. A similar effort could suffice.

⭐
Burgess Mossy (Towcester D2)
Having his third race in graded company at the track, Jason Bloomfield's heavyweight was really eye-catching in defeat. Breaking better than previously, he showed good pace up but was unlucky to not make it round in front. Kept battling back to be beaten just half a length.

Dinner Nigodimos (Romford A7)
Katie O'Flaherty's ex-Hove dog had opened his Romford account one rung down and may have been unfortunate not to double up. Slowly away, he trailed the field entering the back straight but flew from that point only to be denied racing room when looking to be travelling best.

⭐
Fiery Blaze (Henlow A3)
After a level break on debut, Richard Fitch's pup did not go the early pace of the leader but tucked in behind. He showed good speed down the back to challenge going into the third bend but was forced to check and lost his chance. Loads more to come.

⭐
Glassmoss Jude (Hove A5)
Showed decent pace and forced himself round in third then closed in to challenge between the last two bends. However, Gemma Davidson's dog went inside and was forced to check before rallying to claim a share of second. Slightly better decision making could do the trick.

Phoenix Hope (Crayford A8)
Darren Whitton's April 2021 pup was having the fifth start of his career and won second time up. He broke in front and built a good lead but coming home was pulled back by a couple of strong runners to be denied. Will only get better and stronger for the experience.

⭐
Summer Skill (Monmore A10)
Arran Dunn seems to have a sure-fire winner on his hands with this recent ex-Irish arrival. Only in her second race for him, she caught the eye, showing good early pace to lead before inexperience saw her drift off the rails allowing the winner through. Will have learned a lot.

Trewmount Des (Doncaster B5)
Jimmy Gaskin's June 2021 pup was slowly away on debut and showed inexperience when moving wide round the first couple of bends. The penny then dropped and he passed numerous rivals to get into second at three-quarters. Can soon leave this level well behind.

Very Ready (Central Park D4)
Mick Mavrias' bitch has two wins in A5 but is yet to strike in this grade. Broke well latest but was beaten to the bend by a fancied newcomer and had to settle for second. Clearly getting to grips with the level and can be supported in a similar contest next time.
