RPGTV Notebook - November 21

Highlighting the greyhounds who have caught the eye of RPGTV analysts over the past seven days.

Apache Lady (Towcester D3)
Having won second time up, Heather Dimmock's young bitch was slowly away when upgraded. However, she showed a willing attitude to run well into fourth place, not beaten very far for second, as the winner had flown. Well up to this level on this evidence and worth following.
Barnside Nala (Doncaster B2)
Sean Parker's bitch trapped just about last but showed enough pace to go round in fourth and chased well throughout. She was never getting to the winner but claimed second late on and a little improvement at the start, which she is more than capable of, may do the trick.
Geneva Chalky (Crayford A9)
A raw pup trained by Rick Holloway, he showed enough pace to turn handy but also displayed greenness when forced to check at halfway. Stuck to the task well to claim a third successive silver medal and, with loads of improvement to come, can soon go one better.
Hawkfield Mini (Romford OR)
Now with Nathan Hunt having transferred from Patrick Janssens, she should be a regular at the track and ought to be winning plenty. Did not have things her own way but got herself back into it with a burst from two to three and the determination when behind was promising.
Kilara Roberto (Oxford OR)
Making his British debut for Richard Rees, he showed decent early pace but could not quite clear Ballymac Raya who also has loads of speed. Flew down the back before being forced to check at the third bend which most likely cost him the race. Looks a winner in waiting.
Moaning Clyde (Harlow OR)
Allowed the favourite winner first run in a sprint but showed superior pace and surely has a similar race of maiden class, or even a little better, in him. Darren Whitton's dog had to check at the first but hugged the rails and powered home over the sharp trip.
Morality (Monmore A6)
On debut for Pat Curtin, he missed the break but then showed good early to get into the chasing pack. Moved briefly into third with a brave rails dart before inexperience showed and he failed to hold the line, moving off then tiring on the run-in. Will have learned an awful lot.
Stellas Belle (Henlow A5)
An open and A2 winner, Jason Bloomfield's bitch is making her comeback from seasonal rest well below that level. Downgraded after her return, she broke well and challenged throughout but could not get past the dog on her inside. Should be back to winning ways soon.
Westway Zoro (Hove OR)
Impressive in opening account at Towcester previously, Sally Johnson's youngster showed his lack of course knowledge by feeling his way round the first two bends. Last into the back straight as a result, he was back on an even keel by the third and stayed on well.
