RPGTV Notebook - November 1

Highlighting the greyhounds who have caught the eye of RPGTV analysts over the past seven days.

Beechview Sadie (Crayford A10)
Was not a factor on her debut, and sole start, at Swindon prior to switching base but fared better in her new surroundings. Kerry Daly's bitch was always in second and, while she never looked like getting on terms with the leader, she clearly has scope.
Birchgrove Buddy (Central Park D2)
Barry O'Sullivan's dog finished last but that does not really tell the story as he showed good pace up to the first bend where he was unfortunate to not the clear the runner on his immediate inside. A better exit allied to an inside draw could do the trick in a similar contest.
Carneys Kobe (Oxford A3)
Having competed exclusively in opens, Gordon Baker's dog went very close on graded debut. Broke level but showed the best pace up to get himself round the first bend in front and went some way clear. Collared close home but may not need much more.
Fagans Pilgrim (Harlow OR)
Paul Vincent's dog stepped up to four bends and showed excellent early but patently did not stay, dropping away. A wide margin D3 winner on October 7, he would be of massive interest dropped back in distance especially in graded company rather than an open.
Greencroft Anna (Towcester A3)
Steve Rayner's bitch looked set to make a successful reappearance after cutting loose from the pack but fitness told in the latter stages. Set to strip fitter considering this was her first start since August, she can soon add to her solitary victory by dominaitng and holding on.
Greyfort Mustang (Henlow A7)
Making his debut race for Jason Bloomfield off some decent trials, the January 2021 pup missed his break as he had done in qualifying. He recovered impressively and made up plenty of ground by the first bend only to run into trouble. Hugely creditable third in the circumstances.
Keefill Delphine (Doncaster A3)
With five races now under her belt, she has shown ability for a youngster who was thrown in at the deep end. Phil Milner's bitch is stringing some decent performances together and rallied from off the pace latest to only be beaten just under a length.
Longedfor June (Romford A3)
Two wide-margin wins to start her career saw her jump four grades and, whilst further progress has been more steady, Paul Young's bitch is still heading in the right direction. She broke well latest but a strong-running kennelmate turned close and caught her in the final stride.
Mustang Diva (Hove A1)
Really caught the eye when staying on after a rough ride on the run to the corner in a decent top grade contest. Once she eventually found daylight down the back, the Richard Yeates-trained bitch ran with real credit to close on the leaders in third.
Sussex Hurricane (Monore S3)
Pat Curtin's stayer has struggled since his switch from Hove, but this was by far his most encouraging effort over the 630m trip. Going down by a narrow margin, it was a big step in the right direction and punters should take note in a similar contest.
