RPGTV Notebook - July 4

Highlighting the greyhounds who have caught the eye of RPGTV analysts over the past seven days.
⭐
Chelms Jaguar (Romford OR)
Caught the eye in a 400m maiden on debut for new handler Darren Whitton. Slowly away, he quickly latched on to the pack but then had to sidestep first bend trouble at the expense of momentum. Proceeded to chase hard until no extra to give on the run for home.

Express Fury (Harlow D4)
Paul Clarke's bitch had the sole win to her name in A11 when based at Romford and shaped well in her first competitive start at her new surroundings when in contention early but had nothing to offer up the home straight. Set to improve with more sightings, she can land similar.

⭐
Go Rosy Go (Oxford A2)
Dave Lewis' bitch has three wins and three seconds in her last seven with her most recent silver a whisker away from gold. She showed her rivals a clean pair of heels with only the eventual winner able to stay within striking distance and it was the last stride when she succumbed.

⭐
King Combs (Hove OR)
Slowly away on debut, Liz McNair's December 2021 pup showed good trackcraft to nip inside trouble at the first bend but was soon checked in his run himself. Left with plenty to do, he chased hard along with the eventual winner to only go down in a desperate three-way photo.

⭐
Loggies Knight (Towcester D1)
Simon Harms' youngster, a winner at Dundalk earlier in the year, has been settling in and went really close on her most recent outing, her fourth at the track. The experienced winner settled the issue by driving the first bend but she rallied well and can go one better soon.

⭐
Mumbo Jumbo (Monmore A5)
Has recently reverted to four bends from two and dropped a big hint. Paul Sallis' charge was only moderately away but paced up well to lead at the opening turn and stayed in front to the run-in without ever looking in total control. Will strip fitter for it.

⭐
Patchthatrabbit (Crayford A10)
Tom Levers' young pup improved her start second time up but was not sharply away by any means. She ran well to challenge at the third where she showed her inexperience by easing slightly but rallied willingly and was only beaten three-parts of a length. Go one better soon.

⭐
Pullyoursocksup (Henlow A4)
Has really seen the penny drop with three wins in his last six and arguably unlucky not to add to that tally. Jason Bloomfield's charge missed the break slightly but showed good early pace and, although denied the lead, kept at it and really made inroads turning for home.

Ruffian Fane (Doncaster B2)
Finding her feet after season, Ricky Overton's bitch was forced to check and found herself a good margin adrift. Her pace down the back straight made the field look silly bar the eventual winner but even then the margin was whittled down to just over a couple of lengths.
