RPGTV Notebook - August 22

Highlighting the greyhounds who have caught the eye of RPGTV analysts over the past seven days.
⭐
Beslo Kopenhagen (Romford A3)
Marlene Westwood's charge was left flat-footed at the start then was crowded and forced to check at the first bend. However, although only fourth, she did make up significant ground to be beaten only a length or so. Can win similar but also worth watching if stepped back up in trip.

Lady Lazarus (Hove A11)
Just starting out her career in bottom grade for Patrick Browne and is still green. That was noticeable in her trapping and the way she felt her way round the first bend but she caught the eye along the back and also finished her race well. Can soon make big step forward.

Liffeyside Sprat (Henlow A8)
Jason Bloomfield's dog has been unfortunate not to follow up a debut victory in two subsequent outings. On his latest start, he was beaten in a good time and actually posted a personal best himself despite being crowded straight out of traps. Has a terrific back straight surge.

Lynnias Power (Monmore A7)
Richie Taberner's bitch was sent off favourite latest having had a few races back from a spell on the sidelines, but made a very poor start. She latched onto the pack early in the back straight and began to make progress before tracking cleverly to the outside and really flying late.

⭐
Savana Lioness (Towcester OR)
Making just her second start after being eliminated from the Henlow Maiden Derby on debut, Frank Gray's bitch trapped smartly and led round. Once in front, she never looked like being caught and drew clear from the final bend suggesting stiffer tasks ahead will not faze her.

⭐
Skeard Nutty (Crayford A10)
After showing signs of greenness in qualification trials, Dean Childs' novice has clearly come forward and caught the eye in defeat, chasing hard on debut. For a moment rounding the penultimate turn she looked a real threat before ultimately finishing third. Will have learned plenty.

⭐
Trewmount Fury (Doncaster A1)
Took a few races to open his account, but gives impression he can add to the sole success having run well behind a warm order who had cut loose. Showing good middle pace to reduce the deficit, Jimmy Gaskin's charge clipped the leaders heels when challenging but stuck well to the task.

Wachovia Locket (Harlow A7)
Robert Copping's pup has recently stepped up to four bends and is looking for her first win over the trip. Her latest run was a massive improvement as she showed fantastic pace to lead. She was passed on the run-in and beaten by fellow progressive sort but they pulled clear.

Wasntme (Oxford A5)
Kevin Hutton's bitch came into season the day after making her debut, but connections will have been very encouraged by her return effort. Showing the best early pace to lead up, she was headed at halfway but did not down tools and was ultimately beaten just a length.
