RPGTV Notebook - August 1

Highlighting the greyhounds who have caught the eye of RPGTV analysts over the past seven days.
⭐
Aghadown Buick (Harlow D4)
Debbie Hurlock's charge was returning to the track after over three months off and could not have run much better than when finishing second in heavy conditions. Even over two bends, the likelihood is that he will come on for the run and could go one better next time out.

⭐
Bonville Pretty (Romford A4)
Maxine Locke's youngster was having only her ninth start and, having already worked her way up a few grades, suggested her next win is close. Came up against another improving pup but is strengthening up, has a little more experience now and could go one better next time out.

⭐
Magical Legend (Doncaster B1)
Sean Parker's dog again ran well without quite making the top grade breakthrough. He went after a well-backed kennelmate into the back straight but could make no real impression. A weaker B1 may well beckon but he will not have to produce much more to score in any case.

⭐
Reliable Rob (Oxford A4)
Richard Baker's pup was slowly away on debut as he had been in trials but then paced up pretty well between rivals. A back straight surge took him into second and, although he plateaued from that point, was a creditable runner-up. Should come on a bundle for this outing.

⭐
Sehnsa Fury (Henlow A7)
Having his first start for Bradley Stowe, he broke moderately but paced up well to lead down the far side. A good five lengths clear into the third, he swung off violently soon after which cost him in the end. He should better know what to expect next time and take the beating.

⭐
Solid Heggo (Crayford A7)
Julie Luckhurst's dog has spent most of his career fluctuating between A8 and A7 grade but does have his moments and looked a shade unlucky when challenging the leader at the third turn. Did not deter him and eventually finishing a creditable second beaten just a length.

⭐
Ten Sixty Six (Hove A8)
Took a few strides to get going but, once he did, he showed great early pace to take the lead down the back before giving best. Patrick Browne's dog had done plenty of running to get where he did and was still only beaten less than two lengths. Could be strengthening up.

⭐
Trumpers Lola (Towcester D1)
Has kept good company albeit struggling with consistency, but her recent efforts over two bends suggest her confidence is back. Steve Rayner's bitch did not quite get the rub of the green round first up last week and, althouugh holding every chance latest, is worth chancing.

Tullymurry Otto (Monmore A8)
Brian Thompson's pup was not the best away but showed good early pace to the bend. Considering this was his first time in with six dogs, he was brave to go round in front when they turned into the back. A strong runner ultimately proved too good but he should come on a bundle.
